The MOX (Mixed-oxide) fuel fabrication facility currently under construction near Aiken, S.C. is on schedule and on budget and has been accomplishing this with a strong safety record.
The August Chronicle reported yesterday that the “Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s more recent round of inspections at the U.S. Energy Department’s mixed oxide fuel facility yielded no violations or criticisms, according to a copy of the quarterly report released today.”
As a partner in the construction along with the Shaw Group, AREVA looks forward to the project’s continuing success as it moves forward with the construction of this important facility.
