The talk about nuclear energy recently has been only one thing: BIG. This week, nuclear energy got BIG backing from the administration with Secretary of Energy Chu and White House energy advisor Browner coming out in support of a Clean Energy Standard that involves nuclear. (Read here.)
BIG is also the word to describe the news out of Congress on Thursday. The House passed legislation that would add $7 billion in new loan guarantees for nuclear plant construction. The potential for job and economic growth with these potential nuclear facilities is also BIG.
