NAYGN Diapers Help SC Flood Recovery

Date:

A baby needing a diaper change just doesn’t care about severe weather.

When the recent flooding hit South Carolina, support and supplies also poured in for the recovery effort—but there was still a serious scarcity of baby supplies, diapers, wipes, and baby formula. AREVA employees in the Charlotte, N.C., chapter of the North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN) heard of the shortfall and quickly organized a baby items donation drive especially for infants and toddlers. In coordination with the NAYGN chapter at Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Generating Station, the generous response was packaged up and personally transported to a collection point in Columbia, S.C.

AREVA NAYGN members leading the donation of baby items included (l to r): Jason Early, Juli Kline, Farhad Banaey, Brad Crotts, Anthony Chang, Hannah Arrington, Ashley Spry, Phil John.

We were glad to add this baby items support with our earlier employee-initiated donation of 14 generators to help the recovery effort, because as we all know – when a baby is happy, everybody is happy.
