As part of AREVA’s commitment to help educate the general public and various North American ethnic communities, we formed a Community Advisory Council made up of representatives from the African-American, Latino-American, Asian-American and Native-American communities.
For the past three years, we have taken representatives of these communities to visit our facilities in France to give them a first-hand look at the entire nuclear cycle, and ask questions of our employees as well as the townspeople from surroundings communities. This year we will visit the AREVA enrichment facility, fuel fabrication facility, heavy equipment manufacturing facility and the used fuel recycling facility. During the next week, our Council members will provide their impressions, so that we can move forward in helping to educate about the safety and security and benefits of clean nuclear energy.
Stay tuned for updates.
