On Monday, May 10, AREVA was presented the Charlotte Mayor’s International Community Award for large companies by Mayor Anthony Foxx and Dr. Maha Gingrich, Chairwoman, Charlotte International Cabinet, according to an article in the Charlotte Business Journal. Tom Franch, Senior Vice President, Engineering and Projects North America, accepted the award on AREVA’s behalf.
The Charlotte Mayor’s International Community Awards were established in 1998 to encourage international companies located in the Charlotte area to adopt corporate philanthropy as a business practice. The award received by AREVA recognizes our corporate philanthropy and volunteerism in the Charlotte area.
AREVA employs some 600 workers in the Charlotte area that focus primarily on engineering, project management, new plant development, and federal contracting.
