BETHESDA, Md., January 6, 2012 – AREVA announced today the appointments of Tom Franch as senior vice president of the Reactors & Services Business Group (R&S BG) for AREVA Inc., and Gary Mignogna as senior vice president of the Engineering & Projects Organization (E&P) in North America. Both will serve on the U.S. executive leadership team.

Mr. Franch, previously the head of AREVA North America E&P, will now be responsible for the operations and activities of the R&S BG. He will oversee the Installed Base, New Builds, Equipment, Products & Technology and the Nuclear Measurement Business Units. Mr. Franch has been with AREVA for more than 20 years and has more than 29 years of nuclear power experience. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and architecture.

In his new position with E&P, Mr. Mignogna will lead E&P in project management & operations, design engineering, construction & commissioning services and associated strategy, processes & methods for the organization’s projects. He currently serves as the president of AREVA-Day Zimmermann joint venture company and serves on the Members Committee of the Steam Generator Team (SGT), an AREVA-URS joint venture company. Mr. Mignogna has been with AREVA for 33 years, holding leadership positions in multiple areas. Mr. Mignogna holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University and a master’s degree in business administration from Lynchburg College.
