AREVA Corporate Citizenship Changes Words Into Action

Date:

Corporate citizenship is a hands-on commitment for AREVA Inc. and its 4,100 employees in North America. In 2015, our employees tallied more than 3,000 volunteer hours supporting 400+ charitable organizations and educational institutions in the communities where we live and work. As a company, we draw on the strength of our communities and recognize the importance of social responsibility for the well-being of our neighbors, employees and our business.

Our recently released 2015 Corporate Citizenship Report highlights our outreach activities and the employees who dedicated their time and energy during the year.

Investments in educational outreach focused on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) topics. During Engineers Week in February, employees volunteered to lead classroom STEM discussions and experiments aimed at educating our next generation about clean energy technology, including AREVA’s nuclear energy businesses. Students also learned about careers in engineering and other STEM-related fields.

In other hands-on efforts, employees helped their neighbors clean up their communities, bring aid during crises, and deliver gifts to brighten the holidays for those in need. AREVA employees also responded during charitable giving campaigns in 2015, donating more than $800,000 to education and charitable organizations in North America

We thrive on the strength of our communities, and we are committed to using our resources to advance education, protect the environment, and genuinely make a positive impact in our communities.
