In 2014, AREVA and its North America employees helped meet local communities’ needs with more than $1.8 million in contributions and more than 3,000 volunteer hours to charitable organizations and educational institutions.
Our just-released 2014 Corporate Citizenship Report gives a snapshot of the many hours and efforts dedicated to making our communities stronger.
With AREVA’s primary focus on supporting education and science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) initiatives, employees served as mentors, educators and coaches in schools and universities all over the North American region.
Many employees also chose to serve as meal preparers in food kitchens, painters at homeless shelters, landscapers at the YWCA, stewards of trails and streams, and many other hands-on activities. They also personally contributed more than $500,000 in 2014 to local charities during the company’s annual directed giving campaign.
We know the success of our communities makes them better places to live, and is key to the sustainable growth of our business. Through active involvement and sponsorships in our hometowns, we fulfill our goal of engaged, beneficial corporate citizenship.
We encourage you to read all of the personal stories in our 2014 Corporate Citizenship Report, and join us in supporting the many nonprofit agencies that make a positive difference in our neighbors’ lives.
