AREVA Assembly Line Makes 900 Food Kits for Local Students

Date:

AREVA employees at our Richland, Wash., facility are known for their expertise in manufacturing nuclear fuel assemblies and fuel-related products. They recently showed they are pretty good at manufacturing food kits for local students in need, too.

Several AREVA employees volunteered at Second Harvest’s Big Build to support the Bite2Go student nutrition program. In less than an hour, employees demonstrated their dedication and expertise by assembling nearly 900 Bite2Go food kits!

The Bite2Go program provides weekend meals to students who cannot afford adequate nourishment and include “a good mix of healthy, kid-friendly, easy-to-open, single-serving, nonperishable food items to cover four meals and three snacks over the weekend.”

We were proud to support our community through Second Harvest and the Bite2Go program!
